A WEDDING DRESS STORY. 25 Years ago, I had asked my mom to make my wedding dress. I hand sewed and designed a front bodice piece that I was going to put on it. The fabric and everything costed over $400 in 92'. Riverside fashions was going out of business, and being cheap, I wandered in, and they had tons of wedding dresses. So I looked and there it was. $250. My size and all! So to save money, I bought it and returned the fabric and everything else. Did not think back then o ... f how it made my mom feel to not have her make my dress. I was only thinking of cost and time. So When I thought of redoing my dress I knew it would mean a lot to me ANd my mom. I just want to acknowledge what an amazingly talented woman my mom is. All the years I never really watched her sewing, until we managed to get together to Work on the dress. I was supposed to be on a beach in Mexico renewing our vows today. Wearing it. I stopped working on it when Mike had eye surgery, as everything fell apart. I finished it sunday. I wanted a silver gray dress to represent 25 years, that had parts of my original wedding dress on it. Even though I may or may not get to wear it, I am SO grateful I got to spend this quality time with my mom! It meant the WORLD to me that you made time to help me. Even with all we have gone thru over the years, you will never fully realize how much I love you! You are truly an amazing woman and I am BLESSED GOD gave me you as my mom!
